How to Find Purple Gatherer Scrips (& What Theyre For) |

Purple Gatherer Scrips are a special currency in Final Fantasy XIV used by players to upgrade their gatherer's gear after hitting level 90.

In Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, the level cap for Disciples of the Land increased to level 90. With this level increase comes new progression for gatherers. After the player has maxed the level of their gatherers, their progression continues with Purple Gatherer Scrips. These Scrips are a currency earned from level 90 gatherer content and are used to increase max-level gatherers' stats.

To gain access to Purple Gatherer Scrips in FFXIV Endwalker, players must first unlock two NPCs in Radz-at-Han, the Collectable Appraiser and Scrip Exchange. To unlock these NPCs, players must first complete the FFXIV Main Scenario Quest, "The Jewel of Thavnair" and the Feature Quest, "Go West, Craftsman." After completing these prerequisites, players can talk to Ofpolina at Radz-at-Han (X:11.7, Y:9.6) to unlock these NPCs, who will appear on either side of her.

Speaking to the Scrip Exchange NPC, players can use Purple Gatherer Scrips to purchase many items in FFXIV. These purchasable items are split into three categories: Gear, Materia, and Materials. As of patch 6.0, the gear purchasable with Purple Gatherer Scrips is Item Level 570. Gatherers can also purchase and use Gatherer's Materia using their Purple Gatherer Scrips. This Materia can either improve crafted gatherer gear or be sold to other players for a decent profit. Lastly, players can purchase bait for fishing or various aethersands, a material used in endgame crafting recipes. These available items make Purple Gatherer Scrips vital for max-level Disciples of the Land.

How to Obtain Purple Gatherer Scrips in Final Fantasy XIV

The primary method players can use to obtain Purple Gatherer Scrips in Final Fantasy XIV is through collectables. The most profitable collectables can be gained from timed nodes, gathering nodes that are only available at certain times (Eorzean Time) in-game. All Disciples of the Land can acquire these collectables, but, due to the nature of Fishers, Botanist and Miner collectables are easier to find and obtain. Collectables in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker are only minorly different from collectables in the system released in patch 5.3. Below is a list of the level 90 collectables available for Miner and Botanist.

Miner

Rarefied Chloroschist: Found in Labyrinthos (X: 25.1, Y: 24.2) at all times.
Rarefied Eblan Alumen: Found in Garlemald (X: 12.7, Y: 21.9) at 02:00-04:00 and 14:00-16:00.
Rarefied Pewter Ore: Found in Thavnair (X: 32.5, Y: 24.9) at 04:00-06:00 and 16:00-18:00.
Rarefied Annite: Found in Elpis (X: 8.2, Y: 36.5) at 10:00-12:00 and 22:00-00:00.

Botanist

Rarefied Ironwood Log: Found in Elpis (X: 27.8, Y: 25.1) at all times.
Rarefied Elder Nutmeg: Found in Elpis (X: 24.9, Y: 5.6) at 00:00-02:00 and 12:00-14:00.
Rarefied AR-Caean Cotton Boll: Found in Ultima Thule (X: 9.4, Y: 33.1) at 08:00-10:00 and 20:00-22:00.
Rarefied Iceberg Lettuce: Found in Labyrinthos (X: 9.8, Y: 22.0) at 06:00-08:00 and 18:00-20:00.

Purple Gatherer Scrips are a valuable currency for FFXIV gatherers who have maxed their level. Especially with the upcoming release of FFXIV Endwalker Savage Raids, gatherable materials will likely rise in price across many servers. The increased gathering yields granted by the materia and the crafting materials purchasable with Purple Gatherer Scrips will make obtaining this currency a good source of money for skilled merchants.
