With a fantastic cast for Season 2 of Mumbai Diaries, Nikkhil Advani is prepared to wow the audience. Recently, the acclaimed director officially discussed his reasons for not wanting to recreate Kal Ho Naa Ho with Zoom.
Nikkhil said why he had decided against remakeing the Kal Ho Naa Ho film, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, and Shah Rukh Khan. "I do wish to make a great love story. People keep on asking me why don't I remake 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' in today's time, if I say '6 Din Ladki In' today, my daughter will stop talking to me. If I feature Kantaben today and things of two men having alternative sexuality and making fun of it, I will get jhaaped!"
He further added, "There was that time of making that kind of cinema. Even today, when Karan Johar is making Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, he's questioning himself in that film, and I am very happy that he chose to make that film.”
While the director has been using his skill to convey the serious side of cinema, Nikkhil is eager to work on a romantic film but wants to make sure that the plot works in the ever-changing world of today. More on: Nikkhil Advani
